easy but fustrating problem

Hey everyone,
I have created a report that initially was 22 inches wide. After rearranging items, I only need the report to be approx 7 in wide.

When ever I try to drag the right margin to make the report width smaller, it doesn't change. If I try to change the width from the properties window, it just changes back to it's previous setting. I've also gone into file, page set-up and changed the column width....but this has no effect on the report.

Any ideas??? Other reports that I have created allow me to change the width, so I'm sure that it is a specific feature that is either enabled or disabled...I just don't know which one.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You still have a control on the report that is 22 inches wide. It's probably a line somewhere. If you turn off the grid it will be easier to spot. Maq B-)

Position your cursor off the bottom right corner of your report design and drag a rectangle up to the top just past 7 inches. That should select whatever is getting in your way.

Man, do I feel like an idiot.

There was a very light-grey line created above the header.
