Hi,

I hope I'm not reposting, but I don't see the thread.
I need to transfer PT 8.0 to a new computer. Both systems are XP based and they are both on the same network.
PT was just installed on the new system.
Do I need to type in all the company info or is there a way to transfer everything in one shot?
Is it ok to keep PT on the other computer as a backup in case the new system crashes?

TIA

Use the backup function to create a backup. Store it on a network drive if you can.

Install Peachtree on the new computer, then restore the backup to it.

Its fine to leave it on the old pc, good idea in fact.

Bear in mind that if the data is on a networked server, then you don't need to do anything other than load peachtree, and then browse to the company data.
