Probably use a spare M3902 I have laying around. They want to be able to make calls but not receive any. Of course I'll give it a non-DID extension but is there anything else I can do? I told them I wasn't sure it could be done but that I'd ask.

thanks!

that is how it is done? or are you talking no internal calls either?

Hmmm, they probably do want to take internal calls... I'll have to ask them.

Thanks!

Went ahead with hot d 1 9 on key 0 of the 3902 and it works perfectly. So far. lol We'll see how long they take to change their minds and want internal calls...

Thanks again!

If you want out going only, but able to take internal calls, just make it a Non-DID number.

Knowledge: Your number one stupidity condom...

another trick would be to make it a 7 digit dn, then change the display to mask the dn.. if they don't know the number, they can't call it.. you do not have to send the dn internal, which will keep it "unlisted".. the break rooms at one of my cust has all sets hot d to a menu, for external press 9, for internal dial the ext.. that blocks inbound.. those phones also rls after 5 minutes, but that's another post

lol - I dunno why it keeps getting revisited. But MSB is just for an ACD set isn't it?

This was just a plain little M3902 set that people will periodically sit at and make outgoing calls and Bigindian's advice was the exact thing I needed. I don't need it to have a mailbox and I don't need them to take calls and I don't need to create an ACD group for this one phone.

Thank you to everyone who played. :)

lol, you reeled me on that one! actually you can put an msb on just about any set and cause a busy condition, instead using forward, or chging forward number, but yeah, didn't apply to your original problem.

Hi again

Sorry for my annoying previous reply.
But just FYI, MSB can be used for all sets and not only for ACD.
