Can anyone tell me what Early Tx Threshold is. It is a setting on a NIC (currently set at 10). I have found no real references to it.

Your assistance is appreciated.

Here you go:
Early Tx Threshold: Specifies the threshold level in the Tx FIFO to begin the transmission. When the byte count of the data in the Tx FIFO reaches this level, (or the FIFO contains at least one complete packet) NIC will transmit this packet.
