Apologies in advance! I am not "technical" at all and am not sure where to go for assistance! I am trying this forum as a "last resort"!
My company has given me various Nortel Contivity Client software to load onto my home PC (so that if I ever need to go into "quarantine" with the current swine flu (for example!), I will still be able to work from home). However, the company's IT HelpDesk does NOT support this software on personal PCs/laptops, so I can't go to them for assistance.
The company's version of Nortel "Contivity Client" is for Windows 2000/XP, so I have been given an extra file which I have been told I must use for Vista and is "Contivity Client v6.0.7 June08".
I can get the Contivity VPN Client screen up, but then no matter what I try, I keep getting the error msg "Eacfilt Driver must be bound to active interface(s): Intel (R) Pro/100 VE Network Connection".
I have been reading threads from this forum from back in 2007 and have tried everything suggested - ticking and unticking the Eacfilt Driver box on the LAN Connection; changing the Properties to run as Adminstrator; running in Windows XP SP2 Compatibility mode; umpteen squillion reboots in between...nothing works!
Can anyone help?
