E9110 with Client Agent for Linux 2

We have a great problem backing up our linux server.
We only get a full backup, even if we say to do incremental or differential backup. In the last two cases we get the Client Agent error E9110 - unknown filter type - 5, and we get a full backup.
We have the following configuration:
Arcserve 2000 AE SP3 on a Windows 2000 Server with SP2 and a Dell Powervault 130T connected to it.

We have two Agents on two different distributions of Linux:

1. Redhat 7.0 Kernel 2.2.14 and agent V6.61 build 638
2. Suse 8.0 Kernel 2.4 and agent V7.0-1 build 884

On both machines we get the error above, and we can only do a full backup. Unfortunatly we must do a incremental backup. Any help is greatly needed.

Unfortunately the Unix agent can only back up Fulls, as the product relies on the Archive bit (which *nix does not have).

If you have support, you can open up a ticket and request this as a feature enhancement.

many thanks for your answer.

But why can't CA write such an issue in their documentation?
They write, that it is possible to use this Client Agent exactly as the normal Client agent for Windows NT/2000.

I think, that it does mean, that it is possible to setup an job like an NT Job with inkremental rotation and then it can do it. Please correct me, if I am wrong.

Which Produkt from CA can do real differential Backups on Unix Systems? The new Brightstor v9 maybe? Or the Enterprise Version?

Or which Produkt from other companies can do this?
