Anyone have any recommendations on E911 products for a centralized opt 81, networked to multiple opt 11, BCM, and Norstars? We have some funds left from 2008, and need to use them by the end of December 08. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

must be nice, we have been out of funds forever.. can't help with e911, we're still in the planning stages

eTelemetry's Locate911/LENS is the Select Product for Nortel. The other one is the RedSky (not a Select Product).

Each has a different approach to handling 911 reporting. RedSky uses station level, and is much more expensive, therefore usually applicable to only very large installs.

eTelemetry uses the ERL or Zone approach, which seems to be the preferred deployment method since the accuracy is better. It eliminates the need for constant PS-ALI updates.

Some good resources are Nortel's E911 YouTube channel:

And the E911 Imperatives webinar from October 30th:

Nortel911PLM, Thanks for the information. I appreciate it. Due to the cost of the products, we are going to go with the PS ALI as it is quite a difference in price. Can you tell me if there is any hardware that would need to be purchased in order to get this set up? Or is it pretty much a printout of the databases from the PBX's. Any programming tips would be appreciated as well!
