Does anyone have or know where there is documentation such as address acronyms required for E911 PS/ALI submission to the carrier?
i.e. Street-ST Place-PL? Plaza? or Upper Level, Lower Level, No Room Number, Basement etc...?
We're required by law to submit this information in a spreadsheet to the carrier so E911 knows exactly where a 911 call is coming from by the DID to the exact location in the building if anyone was wondering.
Has anyone had to do this?

What state? That way I get to know which one to avoid :)

The USPS has some standards (check out the appendices)
In addition, there are some building numbering guidelines like numbers will be at least 3" high (3-6 in) to aid in location. You can probably reduce the size of room numbers, but try to keep the building numbers that large. I think some cities, like Columbus, OH have already adopeted that.

If it is the same one that the telcos use, Telcordia has the Place/Name documents by state. This is the same format as CLLI abbreviations. I think there is an ANSI document also. If you have access to the SAG, Street Address Guide, it may have just what you need.

Thanks for the replies.
The state is Massachusetts.
The post office info is helpful.
I am checking out the Telcordia site.
