How can I set it up to just dial 911 not 9-911 currently I have ti dial 9-911, this switch is working off a CSK1 and has it's own PRI AND 4 PSTN lines, this is driving me crazy, although it was not far of a ride.

just route the spn 11 send it to a new rlb with a dgt that inserts the 9.. do you need the code?

The problem with building 11 as an SPN is that the PBX doesn't recognize the call as an ESA call and you will not get the OSN alerts on the TTY or on the OSN set if defined. You will just get the call out of the switch.

The proper way to do this is define 911 as the ESDN in LD 24. This way the switch knows that it is an ESA call and will apply priority handling that is designed in the software.

That will allow 911 direct to a route or RLI without any DMI manipulation.

What release do you have?

The ESDN is 911 in LD24.The RLS 5.0W. tHANKS for your replies.

So going by what Fletch said, you set up ESDN 911 in LD 24, and program it either to a route or an RLI. Then, in LD 86, build a new DMI that does nothing, and build a new RLI with ENTR 0 LTER = YES DMI = <new DMI> Make sure nothing else uses those DMI or RLI. Do not use RLI or DMI 0. Then in LD 90 build SPN 911 to point to your new RLI.

In this manner, 911 and 9+911 both work and trip ESA software.

Thats the exact logic Matt. The You Tube videos are still out there as far as I know. Glad to see folks making the effort to program this right.
