I am working with a Mitel 3300 virtual/Physical 3300 icp system with SIP trunks.
MiVoiceBusiness installed OVA version 7.2.1.24

We want our agents CPN to display our 800# when they call our customers back. But if they dial 911, is it possible to display there DID and building address? The carrier is Intelepeer. Their answer was:
"You can set a translation on your side that says if a client calls 911 to out-pulse a 10 digit DID and attached the address to that number."

How do I do this?

Thank you,

Carl

You can set a number to be sent in the CESID form on a per station basis.

The CESID can also be set in the User and Config form under the Device Details Tab

CESID = Caller Emergency Services IDentification

Thanks kwbMitel. But will this work with SIP trunks?

Why not? I do it all the time. If you're asking the question, why do you think it might fail?

As long as you're assigning CESID numbers that the SIP carrier is passing on correct info for to the PSAP, it should absolutely work.

Ok thanks, I'll give it a shot. I only asked because I read in the help file, somewhere that I cannot find not, that SIP trunks originating 911 calls use the Calling Party number instead of a CESID.

If that were ever true, it is definitely no longer true.

Beautiful, thank you very much, kwbMitel, for you help!

Have a great day!
