In our PSAP we are connecting CAMA trunks into AudioCodes M-118 to convert them to SIP to interface with our Avaya CM6. We are having a heck of time getting them to work reliably. When AT&T test the trunks they get "bad wink" intermittently, meaning if they test a trunk 5 times it will fail with "bad wink" 2 or 3 times out of the 5 in no particular sequence. This is happening across 33 different trunks and 11 different AudioCodes. Our CAMA trunks come out of a Lucent Series 5 RT here in our building (Less than 100ft from the AudioCodes). We have tried increasing the output voltage (AT&T recommendation)and that seems to cure the "bad wink" or at least help it but we get very bad bleed over / cross talk as a result. We have tested with the three (that we know of) different voltage settings, and many different wink speeds and pre-wink speeds to no avail.
