E8608 Failed to enumerate database

Hello

We have an Win2000 SP3 Server where we installed ARCserve2000 SP4, and a Win2000 SP3 Server with Exchange2000 and the ARCserve Exchange Agent. Most the time the backup of the Exchange Server runs fine. But once or even twice a week, I get this error Message in the ARCserve log: "E8608 Failed to enumerate database" and at the same time this error in the system log of the exchange:" The Backup Agent RPC Server service terminated unexpectedly." (On this days I have no backup of the Exchange Server!)
If I start the sercive manually again, the next couple days the backup runs fine, till the error comes again.

Has anybody any ideas what the problem could be?

HI,

Go to the services panel...

double click on the Agent RPC service...

go to the "recovery" tab...

select "restart" on all three options...

Thank you for your help. I selected the "restart" option and that works fine.
My Problem is, that the service stops at the moment, when Arcserve is going to make the backup. Even if the service starts again, I don't have a backup from this day.
What could be the reason, that the service stops often when arcseve is going to backup the mailboxes???

I have the same error message although the backup does not stop! Now i am wondering if exchange is backing up correctly.

Also get another error message of E8602 - Failed to read from Database (303)Hrbackuptruncate logs failed! This relates to circular logging but ours has been disabled!

If you have had any luck with this please let me know!
