E8604 Failed to start backup ......

Getting the following error when backing up the Exchange Brick Level E8604 failed to start backup - DBName=\individual mailboxes\5/02:03:42, EC=Exch Agent -- (429) "Fail to open information store". I have checked the Arcserve website for the explanation but this doesn't resolve the problem. Does anybody have a cure?

 
are you using the sp3
and the latest dll updates on the exchange server?
There are a lot of problems w/ Arserve 2000 backing up brick level. SP3 and the dll updates will help.

cj is correct. make sure you have applied SP3 to the exchange agent as well as the ARCserve 2000 server. bounce the backup agent RPC service on the exchange server after updating, then apply qo06202.caz and bounce the service again, all on the exchange server.
