Hi there,

e8603 failed to write to database (DBNAME=First Storage Group\G:Ms Exchange DB\First Storage Group\Heavy Users Mailbox Store\priv1.edb
EC=Backup Agent Error -- (309) "Can not open restore file")

Unable to find this error documented <shrug>

Neil

Application log shows "Source: ESENT :Category:Logging/Recovery:Event id: 454 :Description:services (288) Database recovery/restore failed with unexpected error- 515

Have tried with & without the following agent options:
Apply existing logs

Databases are configured to allow overwrite
All db and logs (inc temp have been deleted)
DBs are unmounted
Agent configured correctly afaik.

Apparently ARCserve doesn't like not having to create the pathname...manually creating new path G:Ms Exchange DB\First Storage Group\Heavy Users Mailbox Store\ still didn't work however, copying a broken db from the recycle bin did allow the restore to complete however (though still issues with transaction logs and headers from the weekly backup that say 'dirty shutdown'! - the box wasn't broken until Monday? - This is a Disaster Recovery Test btw.
