E8602 Failed to read from database

Hi All,

I have a wierd issue with backing up 2 of the 5 exchange servers all configured the same way.
Background: All these servers had a trend hotfix patch applied on the day that this error started occurring:

E8602 Failed to read from database. (DBNAME=Directory, EC=Backup Agent Error -- (301) "Exchange Server Error. HrBackupPrepare failed. Check Backup Agent Activity Log".)

Only 2 of the 5 servers are having this issue.

I checked the knowledgebase on the arcserve site, and they mentioned something about circular logging. This is enabled on all Exchange servers, so this is probably not the issue.

I do full backups everyday on all exchange servers.
They all have the same service packs.

I think this may be due to the hotfix, but why would it happen to only 2 of the 5 servers?

The error also mentions checking the "backup agent activity log".
Where is this log located?

I appreciate any help all.
