Getting the E8602 error along with the following error 'Backup Agent Error (69) "Read/Write error in named pipes"?

Can someone please give me some clues how to overcome this error.

This on NT4 Server service pack 6 and Arcserve 6.61.

Hello,

can it be which you inoculate installed or another virus scanner? If then switch it off during the protection and test whether the error comes still again then If you backroundscanning disabled then should it also go. That should not bring all anything has you perhaps another real-time option at power SHOT etc....

I was having the same problem backing up my exchange servers (brick level) using arcserve 2000, that problem was not resolved until sp3 became available and until the dbexchg2.dll update was available. It might be the same issue w/ arcserve 6.61

More likely to be a timeout in named pipes as sekoe mentions above.
