E8602 Failed to Read from DataBase (SQL)

Recieve the following error message trying to backup SQL databases 'E8602 Failed to read from database, error at virtual device set. Please check the SQL server VDI.log'. Unable to locate the VDI.Log?

Anybody got any ideas.
