E8601 - Failed to connect to agent

This is a continuation of another error I listed on this forum where my backup job was hanging at 66%, however after re-installing SP4 it hangs at 66% then after a number of hours the following error is recieved. "8601 - Failed to connect to agent" and the job completes. The server it is trying to access at this point is an NT server running Lotus Notes. Any ideas why this might be?

I have tried setting up a new job however when I go into client agent and try and select NT it will not allow me to do it. At this point I cannot setup a job to backup the notes server. Is this a problem with the agent?

Would it be beneficial loading SP5?

 
I say you are correct in that it is a problem with the agent. Do an uninstall and then a reinstall with the updates.
