I had a site upgrade from an XP machine, E7 2.6 to Windows 8.1 - E7 4.0
Upon doing so, we noticed that not all of the totals came in. There were dates missing.
One curious observation that I made was that on the old server PC, if I ran a report, the report would say "from Backup: WS01" and "from backup: WS02," then below that line proceed with the totals.
The owner was fine with that, as he had already done his accounting for those days missing.
But now that Windows 8.1 doesnt recognize the E7 USB key, we decided to downgrade the PC to Windows 7, keeping E7 4.0.
I did that Dec. 7th and I ran the EON and copied the DB file. Under the DBbackups folder, there were 3 folders: PC, WS01, WS02 and 2 backup files "001" and "002." I grabbed the backup file from the PC folder. Placed into the new PC and restored the DB. But now, the totals for the 7th were missing. If I go back to the previous Windows 8.1 PC, the totals are there but again say "from backup: WS01" and "from backup: WS02"
So where the heck are my totals??
