I got this error suddenly recently on the server with win2000 / Arcserve 2000 and HP Surestore Dat 40e installed.
This tape device has been run for more than 1 year and just got the above error recently. I have followed the faq guide from this forum to troubleshoot the scsi error. But Arcserve can detect the tape drive but show "unrecognized media format" after inserted a tape.
Finally, I replace it with other DAT 40e without reboot server and it works. Then can I certify that the previous tape device is out of order?? Thanks
