We had purchased the e500 about 3 months ago, but due to other pressing projects, we are just now trying to implement the appliance into our network. So far, I have already configured the e500 for automatice DAT updates, installed all patches and hotfixes, configured internal network settings, and special company specific disclosures and messages. However, I am having extreme difficulty configuring the static routing tables. We are using the appliance in transparency mode where network trafic is passing through it, instead of routing to it like in proxy mode. If you have one in your network, I would like to maintain close contact with you so we may share information that would benefit us both. Do you also have McAfee ePo Orchestrator? I do and so far I have been administering the application in an enterprise network with Netshield and VirusScan for over a year now. Our primary decision to purchase the e500 is to replace the Webshield software installed on our SMTP server since we no longer have support for it.
