E4102 Unable to open database.

I get the following error when the backup job starts. The backup job does complete successfully and also does update the database after the backup. What does it mean and how can I resolve this problem?

E4102 Unable to open database. (DATABASE=astpsdat, EC=256)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Most likely it is due to a corrupt database.

Easy fix is to just initilize that particular database. Go to ARCserve Server Admin, Database tab, then from menue select Initialize, and select the astpsdat database. Then you will not see the individual files and directories backed up. Just merge in a session if you need to restore.
