E4102 Unable to open database

Hello,

Whem I run a backup job I get the error: E4102 Unable to open database (DTABASE=ASTPSDAT, EC=-46, every time the job needs to update the arcserve database. At the end of job the database engine service is stopped by ArcServe.

You could try initialising the database (losing all the information). You initialise by going to ARCserve server Admin, then clicking on the database engine tab, then clicking on tool or action or whatever the tab is called at the top, and click on initialise.

ALSO, you should try the database checking utilities if the initialise doesn't work. The link is :
