I am attempting to restore a simple Excel file from tape and receive the following:

E3702 Unable to connect to group (GROUP=<none>, EC=NON EXISTENT GROUP)

I changed my group names this morning, so I'm pretty sure this is the problem. I thought, 'hey, I'll just change the Group name back and things will be fine.' I should have known better. No change even after I change the group name back. I am prompted to Mount the tape that I want to restore from and the 3702 error appears in the LOG.

Any ideas? Monkeylizard

BTW, this is the Cause/Solution listed in the Help file:

Check the error code. Check if the group is busy or in use. Check if the group was deleted or renamed since the job was scheduled.

Hmm..OK, I know that's the CAUSE! What's the Solution? Monkeylizard

Did you create the restore job first then rename your groups? If so, re-create your restore job again.

thanks, but it didn't work. Gave me a thought though. Re-booted the server and it worked fine!

Thanks for the right direction.
