Don't know if anybody has seen this one. I get this error message when I try to back up the NDS tree from Arcserve 6.61 on Netware off a Netware 4.11 server. I can back up the local branch of the NDS tree just fine but if I try to back up anything outside my LAN on the tree I get this error message. I have checked to ensure that TSANDS, TSA410 and SMDR are all loaded on the remote servers giving the problems. I have made sure that the 023f SAP is not being filtered out by the routers. I have ensured that I have full administrative and supervisory permissions to all of the tree. I was able to back up the tree for a year before this happened.

What Service Pack are you running on your servers? Have you updated recently?

Check the version of TSANDS.NLM on all servers. The version that ships with SP9 for 4.11 is dated 26th July 2000 -----------------------------------------------------

All of my Novell servers are running sp 8a and it looks like it would be a difficult endeavor to upgrade to sp 9 so found a workaround. Went in to the NDS tree backup properties and configured it to back up all of the NDS tree off of a specific master NDS server that is in my LAN. That way it will not go out on the WAN and look at other servers. That fixed the problem...
