I have a E169 and i have it connected and it works fine.
The readme file states that, when connected to an IPO, you will need a seperate http server as the IPO cannot provide the file (it is too big)
I have a dedicated file server and when i browse to the file then i can download it.
The log file shows the file as being send.
When i go to the media station app i see that there is a firware version available but when i press update then it shows updating in progress for a little while and then stops showing that.
On the right top a spinning circle is shown but it never updates.
The log shows that the file is requested multiple times but it is actually never downloaded.
Anybody else got this working?

Here is the log of both actions:

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Have you tried from different machine, rather than from the server

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

The first try was local and worked fine.
My laptop is the http server.
Firewall was turned off.
I will try it again tomorrow and see if I can stop something else.

Ok tried again and instead of using MV_IPtel i now used IIS.
Turned on directory browsing and now it is upgraded.
I have no clue why MV_IPtel did not work but it is upgraded now.

I have had similar issues with MVIPtel.... stopped using it as it was clunky anyway :)
