The server is a compaq proliant and the tape drive is a compaq 40/80. I am using Arcserve 2000 (SP4) on a windows 2000 (SB3) operating system. When I try to log into the tape engine, i keep getting this error message. I have tried to search the Arcserve help and the computer associates web site to find out more information about the error code but have not had any luck.
Yesterday we turned the tape drive off and then back on a agin and this solved the problem for a couple of hours. Thinking that the problem was solved i ran a backup job to run overnight but this did not work and i got these errors.
