Has anyone else experienced issues with the E129 SIP phones cutting out at the beginning of the call?
From what I can tell, it only happens when sending/receiving a call over a PRI or analog trunk. E129 to E129 or E129 to 96xx phones is flawless.
If I create a short code to dial out a specific line, I hear the dial tone immediately for a fraction of a second, then the audio cuts out for about 1 second, then comes back. Sometimes the audio breaks up multiple times within that first second.
I've tried forcing the E129 to use G.722 and G.711 thinking it was a codec mismatch.
I've tried Re-invite support on/off, codec lockdown, direct media path. These don't seem to have any affect.
I tried changing the E129's jitter buffer and this actually seemed to reduce the cut out period when I reduced the jitter buffer size, but I can't say for sure if this is true.
Happens at multiple sites with different IP500 units. Phones are on the same VLAN as the IPO.
