E1 fallback for ESS, during WAN failure.!!!

Dear all;

I have question, can we have E1 terminated between 2 servers which are in ESS mode, I want this as a fallback plan, when the WAN is down and both servers act as standalone.

If its possible,pls let me know what needs to be done.
