Is it possible to change the network address of a hard drive or cdrom drive, as i have recently installed an external hd, and my cdrom drive was not working at the time, so it took E: as its letter. Then when my cdrom drive was working again it took back its letter E:, and my external hard drive has been put on as H:

This has messed up all my shortcuts and everything in things like my itunes library.

Is there a way of changing the letter?

Thanks in advance!

Its not a network address for an external hard drive or CDROM - its just a drive letter same as internal hard drive. And assuming you're running XP or Vista, yes you can edit drive letters using disk management (just run diskmgmt.msc). Right click on drive you want to edit - option on the menu.
