This weekend I ran Microsoft Update and download software updates and (most importantly) the lastest security patches for about a dozen of the users on my network. Today I am informed by one (rather chapped) user that he's missing a year's worth of e-mails.
This guy has e-mails he's kept in his inbox going back to 2001 (Yeah, I know, maybe not the best idea...I was unaware of this). Odd thing is, only e-mails from 2003 have disappeared...everything from 2004 is still there, and if I scroll down the list it jumps straight from 2004 to 2002, then 2001.
I tried looking for a .pst file or some other file in "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>" under "Application Data" and "Outlook" where it might have been archived when all of the updates loaded...no luck there.
He's running Windows 2K, Service Pack 4 (I can't recall if that was one of the updates that took place) and using MS Outlook 2002. Any clues would be most appreciated.
