I'm not sure if I should put this post in Symantec so please be gentle...I have been hearing about that new German virus that spams people on address lists, well one of the Partners here at my firm has been getting a great deal of these messages, however, I'm not sure how. In the "To:" address it either references a nonexistent account or a very very old account that has been deleted and not this individual. How can this be?? All of my users are protected with antivirus, we have a WatchGuard firewall and a dedicated spam filter. Thanks.

He's a BCC.

I'm Certifiable, not certified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Yes, the person receiving the email is in the BCC field (for blind carbon copy).

Either way, these messages should be deleted and ignored.
