I have a user that receives e-mails only to his All Documents Folder, and not his Inbox. He has to manually move the e-mails over to the Inbox. Is there a setting somewhere that controls that? Thank you for you help. Oh, and we using R5.

That is typically the kind of thing that points toward view corruption (in this case, folder corruption).
Anyway, you will want to try a fixup on that db, maybe following a design refresh. Make sure that the db uses the R5 mail template.

Pascal.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried both of your suggestions already. First I did the design refresh, then I noticed the user was getting a "B-Tree is invalid" error, so I did a Fixup. Something I did not mention before is that the user is replicating to his local hard drive. "His mail is not getting into his Inbox" is only occuring when he is in the local copy. I tried deleting, then setting up replication again, but that didn't seem to make a different.

I tried deleting, then setting up replication again"

Do you mean you deleted the local replica of the mail file, and re-created it? How did you delete the database? And did you delete Cache.ndk? I don't know if this would affect your situation, but I've been told its a good thing to do when problems re-appear.

If it only happens on the local copy, then its likely its simply a corrupt replica, but if this is the case then deleting and recreating the replica should fix the problem, which leads me to question your methods. Did you use the "Database -> Delete" command on the workspace tab? I've also been told that deleting nsf files with Windows Explorer is not a good idea, especially when Notes is running.

Sorry I can't be more concrete help, but if I could solve your problem instantly, then I'd be on a higher salary. All I can do is spread the wealth!

Good luck!

Thanks for your imput. I did not delete the Cache.ndk, but I will. What is the Cache.ndk? Also, I did delete the local .nsf file from the Windows Explorer. Again, I will try deleting it using the Database -> Delete command on the Workspace tab.

I just found out that Cache.ndk is what Cache.dsk is called in R6.

Oh right!

I've only ever worked with R6, I'm afraid. I only got into the whole Lotus world a yera ago, and at that time we were working on upgrading from R5, so R6 is all I've seen really.

Good luck with the Database -> Delete!
