E-Mails Arriving in InBox Black

I have a user that is receiving e-mails in their Inbox already "read", or black. I tried Replace Design, Upgrade Folder Design, and checked the make sure that the flag "Mark Documents read when opened in preview pane" was not checked.
There is probably a simple solution to this, but I can not remember it.
6.5.2 version.

Call IBM support. I had the same problem and had to re-install something. Was a corrupt file of some type.

Here is the solution. From the Workspace, right mouse click the database, and select Database, Properties. Under the fourth tab, make sure the "Do not mark modified documents as unread" is checked, AND under the seventh tab, make sure the "don't maintain unread marks" is not checked.
