E-Mailing Scheduled Reports Using 8.5?

I have created a number of Crystal Reports using 8.5 which are accessed by the end user via the intranet using E-Portfolio.

There will potentially be 10,000 end users accessing these reports and as a result, is it possible for the end user to have a sheduled crystal report directly e-mailed to them? I feel this would be the better option as opposed to having them log back on to E-Portfolio in order to retrieve their scheduled report.

If this is possible, how?

Enterprise 8.5 Professional allows you to set the destination of a report to email addresses via SMTP. That being said, do you really want to type in up to 10,000 email addresses?

Consider using CE to generate the report, and then some bulk mailer to handle the emails, 10,000 isn't a standard request, and you may still have licensing issues.

If you email them as a manual process, you may get around licensing, and I'm guessing that CE would blow chunks if it tried to email to 10,000.

Do you really want to spam 10k people?
What about using the web capabilities of CE - publish it to a web page or something.

Thanks to everyone for responding your feedback has been great however I don't think I explained correctly what I was hoping to achieve.

There will potentially be 10,000 end users who will be able to run various reports via E-Portfolio and I was wanting to know if an end user scheduled a report to run at certain time, could that report then be emailed directly to his/her email account? The types of reports vary and access to them would depend on the end users rank. So different reports would be run by different people with different levels of access. It wouldn't be a matter of emailing 10,000 reports, it would be up to an indivial end user to have scheduled report emailed if he/she so wished.

Hope this is clearer than my initial quesiton.

Assuning you have CE 8.5 Professional:

Server must be configured for SMTP. See:

In management console,
select manage server
select Crystal Job Server
destinations tab
click CrystalEnterprise.Smtp Destination
complete & update properties
you will need to enable this on destinations tab

When report is in eportfolio, if have at least schedule rights, should have schedule option when click on report:
set time
select parameters, database logon from dropdown if report requires
click destinations
change from default to email
complete form.
use format tab to choose alternate format.
Click Schedule Icon.

In history it shows status of scheduled instance.
