I want to be able to e-mail a record from Access using my Default Microsoft Exchange Outlook server when I close the form in access. Upon clicking the X, I want it to send the e-mail.

When I try it it comes up asking for my POP and SMTP info, but we are on an exchang server.

Someone please help!

It might help if you post the code you're using to send the email.

I don't know what the code is nor how to check. I am an Access Novice.

Basically I have a mcro setup named M_EMAIL, conditions are where ms_job=1, then it has SetWarnings, SendObject, OpenQuery, SetWarnings.

I go to VB editor but the option to view code is grayed out.

Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately I am too rusty on VB to even attempt, so I guess this feature will have to be left out.

Would the layout be like this?

OnClose
'close form'
'mail message to certain recipients'

?

Seems like it'd be easy but who knows.
