I have an OWA user trying to send messages, but the text area of the new mail is greyed out. They are unable to type in the message area, although they can send attachments. there is a small white box in the corner which has a red cross through it.

We are using Explorer 5.5 and we have deleted old files and cookies. When we use a different computer for the same user there is no problem.

any ideas

Thanks

I found an answer. In my registry is an entry for C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Triedit\dhtmled.ocx. This is the Active X control that is missing on the page. I registered it and it worked! The register command is

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Triedit\dhtmled.ocx"

It seems that somehow the computer thought it had the control but it didn't really. Or something like that.
