Dear all,

I have a cisco router that builds a couple of IP tunnels to other cisco routers.
I'm using MRTG to monitor the lines and it works great!

I'm looking to setup a solution that can notify me via e-mail that one of the tunnels went down and that the ISDN backup came up.

Can someone of you advice me in which direction should I research? Are there some tools that can analyze the syslog messages and send an alert when this event occurs?

Thanks for any help that you can give me!

You could look into something like health monitor or operations manager under windows. Or Argent guardian so similar processes.
