E-mail deleted items and inbox all dissapeared after NAV Scan

I Have a user with Win ME and NAV98 Professional Edition using Outlook Express. Everytime the weekly scan finishes all the e-mails in their inbox dissapear.

I am gussing this is because they are all infected how do I clean their e-mail to stop all their mail being infected??
