I had problems with my computer and backed up outlook express using
Unfortunately on restoring I was able to restore my e mails but the address book did not restore.

I send e mails out to members of an organisation (some 300+) in 4 e mails using BCC, so I retrieved my last batch of sent out e mails. I then went into properties and there were all the contact e mail addresses. I have copied them into Excel and done a text to column leaving me with the E mail address which I intend to copy into my address book one by one.

Is there a quicker way than this?

Terry

There's 2 things that I can think of:

1. Open an old sent message, then right-click on each name and 'add to address book'. You'll have to do this for each name.

2. Using the Excel file, organize the data into colums where the first colum is name, second colum is e-mail address. Save this as a Comma Delimited file (.csv). Then open your OE address book, File, Import, Other address book, Text file (Comma Separated Values).

Thanks, I have doen the 2nd but for soem reason it is only importing 50% of the entries. I will keep trying though.
