Hi all,
I'm trying to find a motherboard for an e-machine.
The motherboard is an: Imperial_GV 20030812 MAT NO. 143159.
I don't know what model e-machine it is or anything else about it. But i was asked if i could find a replacement motherboard for it. I was handed the old MoBo.
If anyone knows where I can order one I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Jediwarrior

Why look for the exact replacement motherboard when you could do yourself a favour with a faster and more feature set replacement like this Asrock:
Note* 8X AGP newer Intel 865G chipset.
Support for 400/533/800FSB processors
So you will probably have to re-install the OS but surely worth it in the long run.

yes yes paparazi said it right. just buy a mother board processor and new memory and you better off. one thing to remember the restore cd you have will not work, period.

just replaced a set for a co-worker

I was thinking just the motherboard actually, I'm fairly certain the existing CPU will work just fine on that Asrock and HOPING the Imperial_GV 20030812 was using DDR memory? which would also be compatible with the Asrock.

If you are unlucky then your old setup might be using SDram (PC133)and you will need to add a new stick of DDR to the Asrock Motherboard cost.

Your (unofficial) shopping list:

Processor Socket Type: mPGA478
Processor Family: Pentium 4 (Northwood, Willamette)
Maximum Processor Core Frequency: >=2.2 GHz Northwood; 2.0G Hz Willamette
Processor Front Side Bus Frequency: 400/533 MHz
PC2100 memory

So Find a Socket 478 MoBO with onboard video audio and LAN

meets more than the spec IMHO OR you go and ebay for the minimum spec or try to find some ends of line gathering dust in a PC shop??? (I see you may have been looking already? )
