e-machine wont boot up

Hi all,
I have an e-machine T2596 computer, S/N AIV3A 40500571, using WinXP, and the problem I am having is that it won't boot up. When I push the button to turn it on, I get a lot of clicking sounds and a light that flashes at the power button. It appears to be reading both the cd drives, but nothing else happens.

my first bet would be on the PSU. have you tried another powersupply yet?

remove all unnecessary stuff from the mainboard, just leave the CPU, RAM, and video, remove the front USB if fitted, remove drives and cables, then attempt to power up...
