Hi guys, now i know that this is the authorware forum, but my question is reall yabout flash or elearning in general.
The guys in the flash forum are all great, but not many are into e-learning

I have created a quiz in flash with the quiz template. With an LMS you can track all the data.
However, i don't have an LMS but still want to track.

Anyone used flash quiz templates ???

If not, suppose I could drop entire swf into authorware for the quiz

Anyone else had similar problems or have any ideas, as I am about to pull out my hair

thanks

Unfortunately I haven't worked with Flash much on learning stuff so I probably can't be of too much help - personally my biggest frustration with Flash is that it can't write out files (even from projectors) and certainly if it could it would make what you're asking for much easier. My experience with Flash is exclusively in CD-ROM stuff so only dealing with projectors but I believe to do what you're looking for, you need some server scripting - PHP, perl or ASP. You use the GetURL function to call a script file on a server, and send the variables via the Get or Post method. The scripting page would take the variables & save them - either as just a text file or to a database. I'm just barely beginning to get into some of the server scripting stuff myself so at least for now that's as much as I know.

Thanks Steve

For this instance I am working with a projector file, the exe will sit on the harddrive of networked machines. The idea being that I send the data to a netwoked folder.
I just can't get the data out of flash - it's sooooo annoying

I thought i would be able to get the data from the template, but that is looking very unlikely now
