Anyone ever used these? Is this just a standard point to point T1?

I'm trying to setup UDP between a proposed Legend system and my current Definity. Pri T1 is not an option (the CO to my Definity doesn't offer it), so I was told the other option with the Legend is Tie Lines.

HELP!

TIA,
Steve

Steve,
My company had done this in the past - E&M tie trunk cards in each system, Cisco routers on each end, 56K point-to-point circuits between. Unfortunately, this was before I was involved with the phone systems, and there was *no* documentation of configuration.

If you are doing a point to point T-1, it is YOUR equipment defining PRI vs non-PRI. The CO has nothing to do with it. Just order a B8ZS ESF point to point. You can then configure it in the Definity and Legend as PRI. -CL

I've done analog E&M tie lines between two Legends. I would not recommend it. There is a lot of volume loss on the line, no caller-id information passed and a pain to correctly set-up. Ended up changing to a point to point T1 running isdn pri over the pipe.
