What type of E&M interface does the Nortel Norstar use. Any help will be appreciated.

Mike

E&M type 2. I have more information at work and will post if you need more. “Reserve your right to think, for even to think wrongly is better than not to think at all”

I can't say if it is type one or type two but it is eight wire
t - r - t1 - r1 - e - sg - m - sb
for back to back norstar
t - r - t1 - r1 - e - sg - m - sb system 1
t1 - r1 - t - r - sb - m - sg - e system 2

It is definitely type 2, four pair ckts. Norstar will not do type 1.

Can anyone help me understand the E&M cards on the 8/24 key system. We have been asked to install this system for a company. They have a T-1 of course but I need the wiring config. and just how the circuit works. This system has two cards. Any help??
Thanks

If they have an 8x24ds key system with copper trunk and station modules maximum expansion 6 modules ( detail to identify system type ) and you are planning to connect to a 4 wire digital t1 ( 24 channels ) circuit you are OUTTA LUCK. The two just don't connect.
the 0x32 system + dti card is what you will require to connect to a digital t1 curcuit.

I would like more imformation on E&M type used when connecting to a Cisco router.
Or any other sources for information.

Thanks
