I get this error when trying to launch dynamics on the Citrix terminal server. One of the users also gets the message.

"Dynamics.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created."

I ran SP6 over the weekend, and then the Canadian payroll year-end and 2005 tax update. It works fine on the SQL server and workstations, but Citrix never asked to include new code after the payroll update, so I copied my canpay.dic over and now get the error. Even when I changed it back, I still get the error.

The users do not have their own dex.ini files.

Thanks!

Do you have the new payroll installed on the server? If so, I would copy the entire contents of the Great Plains folder from the server and replace on the citrix server. Make sure the paths are the same or you will need to modify the Dynamics.set file. One of the files may not have been upgraded properly.

I ended up copying my canpay.dic over to the citrix server, and then it worked. I just had to modify some reports.

thanks.

Thanks!

Another trick is copy the chunk file when you install on one workstation. That way you can just copy that into the Dynamics folder instead of running the installation.
