Dynamically setting a text file for append 1

Does anybody know how I can detect the non-existence of a text file and dynamically create an empty one and set it as the source for a transform data task using an activeX script?
I can detect and create the file but the transform data task fails.

Hi,

Use the Dynamic Properties task, point it to the relevant property of the relevant task in you r DTS pack you wish to update dynamically as the source. You could set the source to be the value of a global variable. the global variable needs to be set up too. and you can assign a value to the global vriable before the dynamic properties task runs. by that time the D.P. Task can substitue the global variable value into your source field.
