Hi - I have asked this before, but no answer. I probably am not phrasing this correctly, but I'll try again.
I am being asked to create a report which uses as it's datasource XML output from a Web Service. I have a White Paper from CD/Business Objs dated from 2/02 stating that crystal reports 'can utilize data shared as a Web Service.', but it does not have follow up details or even a general outline of this process.
ALL else I have found seems to pertain to 1.)creating crystal reports and publishing these as a web service, or 2.) using the CRXML driver provided w/Crystal, (this is not dynamic call to a web service, but rather just seems to allow specifying a directory to look for xml files that might be lying around.)
Does anyone have concrete info or even a vague hint as to whether there is a way for Crystal (perhaps through Crystal Enterprise?) to call a web service and use the resulting xml formatted data as it's data source?
Thanks
