Dynamic values not working in runtime forms - settings problem?

I have an application where the user selects a value from a picklist in order to generate a report.

This functionality works fine in design mode, but it doesn't work in run mode (i.e. opening the mdb file without using the shift key).

I assume there is some setting that I have not made that is not updating these values - can anyone point me to where I should look for settings?

Hvae you tried using a global variable or linking your reports sql command to the form itself?
