Hey Tek-Tips, i'm curious if something like a dynamic tween is possible...what i'm trying to do, is have a circle moving around a circular motion guide. What i'd like, is when a link is clicked for example on one of the four corners (12 o'clock, 3, 6, 9) for the circle to be called and move to where ever it was called.

So, it was sitting at 12 and it's called to 6, it moves to 6, then if called to 9, it moves to 9, etc etc.

With only 4 possibilities this would be easy enough to do without the idea of a "dynamic" moving tween, but what if it was 10 possibilities, or 10 positions?

I hope i've made myself clear, if not, i'll toss up an example online.

Thanks
Caden

What do mean exactly by "dynamic" in this situation.

I can see a circle shape, motion tweened on a 360 degrees path, and positioned (move to some particular frame of the tween), according to which link had been pressed, no matter how many links there were...

Maybe missing something?

Right, that's what i'm getting at, to move on a 360 path, to anywhere, from anywhere, so, i'm viewing dynamic as it has no set tweens around the 360, it moves freely as you click anywhere, and moves again to anywhere

There is 360 degrees tween already set. The links just have the tween played from where it's at and direct the circle to another particular frame of that tween.

That makes sense, but how do I tell it go from 1 to 13 or 13 to 26, or then 26 back to 13?

Because, if I set a stop on frame 13, well, the first link will work, it will go from 1 to 13 and stop, but if I then wanted to make it go from 1 to 26, it would still stop on 13...and i'm having a hard time validating for that problem.

any idea's?

So, I still can't get this, different question now.

Is there a way to tell a movieclip from a button anywhere in the flash presentation

go to and play until frame 13 for example. So, wherever it is, until frame 13.
